My Baby

Amsterdam, Netherlands

“A psychedelic journey through space and time, hypnotic, tribal, voodoo” – not the usual terms to describe a band’s offerings. Fitting, since Amsterdam-based My Baby seems to defy all musical labels, genres, and definitions. The band describes its signature sound as “roots-driven hypnotic dance.” Formed in 2012, the trio consists of Cato van Dyck, Joost ‘Sheik’ van Dyck, and Daniel ‘Da Freez’ Johnston. Taking their inspiration from nearly everywhere, they fuse styles like blues, roots, and gospel with soulful sultry vocals and African beats that result in rave reviews for four albums. Their scorching performances touring in the UK, Germany, Denmark, New Zealand, South Africa, and The Netherlands UK captivate fans leaving them yelling for more. They’re coming to Omaha for the first time to spread their grooves.

Lachy Doley

Sydney, Australia

Dubbed the Jimi Hendrix of the Hammond Organ, Lachy Doley is Australia’s most celebrated Blues Soul Rock Organ Player in the world today. A player who can pump, pamper and occasionally pound the most unbelievable sounds from a keyboard: sounds that are intense, ferocious and sometimes transcendent.

The group’s latest studio album Make or Break debuted at #1 on the Australian National Charts Blues and Jazz Charts. Doley’s soulful vocals match his funk-fueled fingers.  A Rhythms Magazine review describes the band’s performance: “If music storms existed on this planet, it might as well be Lachy Doley’s vocals and fiery instrumental performances you hear pulsating from cloud to cloud amidst flashes of lightning and claps of thunder.”

Supporting Artist:

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Speaking of storms…(those who attended this band’s first PwF on Omaha’s riverfront will remember!)

This three-piece blues/rock force reunites for a return to Playing with Fire to deliver its hard-driving sound. Featuring soulful vocals, searing guitar work, the spine and drive of the drums and rhythmic bass, the band harnesses this arsenal to entertain and capture fans and make them move.
