A storied self-made blues-rock musician, singer/guitarist/ producer Mike Zito is one of the most lauded blues artists, with 18 albums to his name, as a former member of the US supergroup Royal Southern Brotherhood and multiple Blues Music Award nominations and wins. For 2022, he is nominated for a BMA Blues Rock Album for his 2021 release, Resurrection.
His song Pearl River was the 2010 BMA Song of the Year, and in 2011 his release Greyhound was nominated for a BMA Best Rock Blues Album. In 2013, he assembled his band The Wheel. In 2018, First Class Life, debuted at # 1 on the Billboard's Top Blues Albums Chart. Zito won the 2021 Blues Music Awards in two categories, Blues Rock Artist and Blues Rock Album for his Mike Zito and Friends Rock 'n' Roll: A Tribute To Chuck Berry, an album that also debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Blues Album Chart.
